Great partnerships create lasting impact.
By sharing expertise, championing our mission and connecting us with new opportunities, Gleeds has helped shape the growth of Switch Up -strengthening our organisation and increasing our ability to deliver meaningful change for young people.
Gleeds are a valued and long-standing partner of Switch Up, supporting our work through annual donations, employment and apprenticeship opportunities for young people on our programmes, and valuable governance support.
They are also a key organiser of our annual charity dinner fundraiser, helping us raise vital funds and awareness for our work.
Gleeds have also played a pivotal role in two of our wider ambitions – supporting our work towards the development of a new Switch Up Community Hub and helping to drive our Uniting Nottz movement, bringing organisations together around a shared commitment to creating positive futures and stronger communities.
Creating valuable employment opportunities
Through its partnership with Switch Up, Gleeds has helped create valuable employment opportunities for young people looking to take their first steps into the industry.
One example is Nassor, a second-year Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management student at Nottingham Trent University, who was struggling to secure an industry placement – a challenge faced by many students looking to gain vital experience alongside their studies.
Through the relationship between Gleeds and Switch Up, Nassor was connected with an opportunity at Gleeds which has since developed into a paid placement, with the potential to lead to a full-time role.
The opportunity is helping Nassor gain valuable industry experience while demonstrating the difference that meaningful employer partnerships can make in opening doors for the next generation of talent.
Gleeds are at the very centre of organising and hosting the Switch Up Charity Dinner.
These annual fundraising dinners bring together hundreds of partners every year to help raise vital funds for Switch Up.
Building Positive Futures with the new Switch Up Community Hub.
Gleeds has played a pivotal role in supporting Switch Up’s plans to develop a new community hub in Nottingham.
Members of the Gleeds team have contributed to the project steering group, providing invaluable expertise and guidance across the many practical and governance requirements involved in bringing such an ambitious project forward.
Their support has extended across the process of securing funding, land, building regulations, funding pledges and the wider logistics required to turn our vision into a deliverable project.
Gleeds’ knowledge, experience and commitment have provided Switch Up with vital support as we work towards creating a new home that will enable us to expand our services and opportunities for young people and communities across Nottingham.
